Job Description:
The Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
provides personalized, evidence-based occupational therapy in
patients' homes to restore and develop their functional
independence. Following the plan of care developed by the
Occupational Therapist, utilizing various treatment techniques.
Motivating and educating patients and families on home programs and
daily activities. Completing documentation per regulations and
collaborating with healthcare professionals. Teaching compensatory
strategies to enhance independence.
Education includes an approved program, with preferred experience
in hospital or home care. Must hold an Illinois OTA license, NBCOT
certification, and CPR. Requires reliable transportation, strong
communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in
diverse environments while maintaining HIPAA privacy standards.
