Hemp BlackPolymers, a division of Hemp Black, Inc.,is a plastic processing company whose predecessor was founded in 2010. We produce compounded plastic materials for precursor use in downstream industrial plastic production. Our products are shipped in the form of plastic pellets, the common feedstock for most plastics processors. Our products are for use in extruded film, extruded fiber, injection-molded and blow-molded products. We specialize in high-tech, performance-enhancing additive packages for applications including but not limited to UV stabilization, heat stabilization, processing aids, flame retardants, optical brighteners, and slip/anti-blocking materials.Our parent company, Hemp Black, Inc., produces textile productsinfused with hemp materials at the molecular level. All facets of our operations are dependent on the environments with which we interact, and as such, we will always treat these environments with the utmost respect. -JOB SUMMARYThe ideal candidate will plan and execute direct sales activities and project acquisitions for Hemp Black's Polymers Division andwill achieve agreed sales targets by positioning and execution of the sales process and the sales-specific implementation of the Hemp Black Polymers business unit strategy at the customer interface. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales. -DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - -Management Support -Annual and short-termed sales plan developmentProject management: identifying and garnering the resources, uncovering new product marketsDelivery of revenue and product volume to develop and manage sales plan Initiation of contacts with existing and potential customers to identify their needs in terms of product specifications, launch schedules, and continual improvementCommunication of insights on market trends and customers' needs to Marketing and Research and Development to support innovation pipeline & product development -LeadershipInfluence decision-makers in a complex environment within and outside Hemp Black at all levelsProvide Strategic and Leadership inputs for Hemp Black Polymers businessWork closely with internal sales and marketing teams for effective cross-collaborationOptimize & strengthen relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfactionRepresent Hemp Black Polymers to sustain and improve company image in relevant local, regional, and international plastics forums, events, and networks -ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the overall sales process for the Polymers division of Hemp Black, aiming to meet or exceed sales targetsDevelop, implement, monitor, report sales activity and project acquisitionDevelop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with respective accountsMaintain up-to-date awareness of market activities, technical development, industry trends, and legislative requirements to explain/introduce the company's current and future strategies and/or make sound recommendations on modification/changes of strategies/practicesKeep strong collaboration with Research and Development, marketing, and product management supply chain.Establish a communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for product and servicesIdentify development project pipelines and ensure the resources internally and track the progress of projectsRecommend product positioning and pricing strategy to optimize a balance of sales, profitability, and corporate objectivesLead, formulate and implement key account strategies and plans. Optimize the results, drive sales, achieve customer intimacy, increase recognition and customer satisfaction to realize the growth of the accountRepresent Hemp Black Polymers at key industry eventsCreate content, when requested, in support of Hemp Black's social media campaignsEstablish and implement effective reporting systems to monitor targetsCollaborate with the production team to ensure accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of products and services -REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Education: Bachelor's degree with MBA (desired) -Working Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales (business to business) preferably within theplastics industry or alternatively thechemicals, coatings, or additivesindustry -Preferred Technical & Professional Knowledge:Working knowledge of the manufacture ofthermoplastics (injection molding, rotomolding, extrusion, compounding, and masterbatch) -Leadership Experience: Priority will be given to candidates with experience holding leadership position(s) in relevant association/forum/industry bodies -Diversity: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, through past contributions to diversity and an understanding of the diversity and equity related issues in the broader industry -Location and Travel:Candidates local to the Greensboro, NC, area, or with a desire to relocate are encouraged to apply. Initially and periodically, time will need to be spent on-site learning Hemp Black Polymers' manufacturing capabilities. Staff members working remotely must maintain a secure high-speed internet connection and adhere to all of Hemp Black's information technology policies. Travel to trade shows, conferences, and industry events will be required as these events continue to be rescheduled. Travel to customer sites will depend on each customer's willingness to hold on-site meetings in the short and medium term. -
