Quartet Veterinary Specialty Hospital is seeking an awesome candidate help support our fast-growing needs. We are hiring an overnight emergency veterinary technician to take care of our overnight surgical patients and receive/treat emergency and urgent care cases.This position will work 4 days (Monday through Thursday) from 10pm-8am, though this schedule may change to 12-hour shifts as our services continue to expand. Understands normal rangesPlace and maintain feeding tubes and central line cathetersPerform digital radiographyProperly calculate medical math for injectables and CRI'sMonitor patients under anesthesiaTrained in CPR. Can identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPRBandage application and removalObtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signsPerform basic wound carePerform in-house laboratory testingMaintain isolation protocolsQualifications:RVT licensed in North Carolina, or you have transferrable licensure from another state with plans to license in NC within 60 daysAt least two years of ER/ICU veterinary experience (3-5 years preferred)Calm under pressureCritical thinking skills and ability to prioritize in the face of adversityIf you'd like an opportunity to grow and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to get to know you!
