Job Description:

We are a small, very busy 1-2 doctor practice in rural NC. Our mission is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for your pets as if they were our own. We are seeking a Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our fast growing practice. Your role will be to care for animals under the supervision of a veterinarian. As a member of the clinical department, you will work with doctors and support staff. You will report directly to Dr. Wendy Camp, Owner/DVM and the Office Manger. What You Will Do: Assist in all aspects of animal care. Draw blood and run lab work. Clean, sterilize, and maintain exam rooms, operating rooms, treatment areas, and surgical equipment. Comfort and restrain pets during examinations and care. Call and interact with owners and their pets, getting histories in exam rooms. Administer medications to pets. Perform some clerical duties, including answering phones occasionally. You will gain a working knowledge of medical and hospital procedures as you learn and grow.
