Job Description:
*This is a hybrid position in Greensboro, NC. This position is
NOT 100% remote.* Description: Today our client has a very manual
process of inventory of software assets, tracking usage of software
etc. There are roughly 4000 software in the environment today and
they are looking at a tool to purchase that will enable them to
automate software asset management process as well as provide a
better viewpoint to licenses and usage. This person will be part of
the Indirect Procurement Team and will focus on Software Asset
Management, Review Software Contracts, entering data into new tools
and enhance the SAM process at Global Company. This position will
focus on procurement and contract requirements on behalf of client.
This role exists to create and maintain value through
industry-standard Software Asset Management (SAM) processes. Day to
Day: Acquire and develop procurement skills to deliver the
following: Maintain health of software entitlement data in software
asset management tool throughout end-to-end SAM process Create
reporting dashboards of software entitlement data Collaborate with
internal stakeholder groups regarding their consumption of software
assets Evaluate and recommend opportunities to ensure that the
desired business results are achieved based on best total value
(savings, quality, delivery, etc.) Compile, analyze, and present
data to influence decision making across the business. Manage and
track corporate contracts with suppliers. Serve as liaison between
Legal and Suppliers to speed the agreement process, protect the
best interests, and ensure successful and timely contract
completion. Support responses to software audits Skills for
Success: Able to influence others with the use of data to see
another point-of view Self-starting - proactively pursues courses
of action when opportunities present themselves without prompting
from others Strong follow through to ensure all elements of a
project are in place and functioning properly during and after
implementation Must be analytical and able to draw conclusions and
make decisions with sometimes limited data Strong verbal and
written communication skills Must be results oriented Able to
project authority in group settings Experience working with or
maintaining processes related to SAM Tools, P2P systems, ERP
systems, etc. is a plus Skills: Asset Management, Procurement,
Software Asset Management, Inventory management, Purchasing, CSAM
