In our continued transformation from a real estate company to a customer experience company, we are seeking a Compensation Analyst, responsible for the planning, analysis, coordination, and administration of compensation related policies, programs, and practices.

This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, People & Culture, with flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment offered by Tanger's hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

How you will contribute to what we do:

As the Compensation Analyst, you will regularly research and conduct plan/program analysis, benchmark company plans/programs, provide timely recommendations to maintain market competitiveness, internal equity, and cost effectiveness, provide guidance in setting fair and competitive pay ranges for open requisitions, perform scheduled and ad-hoc compensation reviews, consult with compensation resources (internal and external) to place positions in the appropriate position and grade level and recommend pay range, prepare, maintain, assess, and provide recommendations on job descriptions to ensure proper job alignment and FLSA compliance, manage all compensation programs in compliance with company policy, plan documents, internal controls, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations, continuously research and provide recommendations and guidance on performance-based compensation, incentive, and rewards programs, developing and integrating new programs, policies, and procedures or enhancing current ones, support the Payroll Manager in the preparation for payroll processing, partner with the Finance team in the annual salary budgeting process, and perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

    About You:

    What skills are necessary for success?

    Business Acumen/Subject Matter Expertise:

    • Minimum of three (3) plus years' compensation experience required.
    • Experience as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
    • Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise in compensation functions.
    • Demonstrated experience in having developed and maintained a multi-state compensation structure.
    • Strong knowledge of leading practices and all pertinent rules, regulations, and practices (FLSA, etc.).
    • Ability to leverage technology in an innovative manner. Must have very strong Excel skills.
    • Effective and accurate tactical execution.

      Action Oriented:

      • Demonstrate the ability to "make it happen" through an action-oriented, continuous improvement approach.
      • Ability to work hands-on and in collaboration with others.
      • Exhibit excellent problem resolution skills.
      • Ability to effectively work with all vendors and providers to resolve problems in a timely manner.
      • Ability to identify and understand changing legislation and apply to current policies/processes.

        Analytical:

        • Ability to gather, assemble and report compensation metrics and labor market trends. Identify appropriate metrics to assess initiatives. Make recommendations.
        • Ability to conduct market analysis, create analysis models, and interpret information to develop data-driven recommendations. Experience in delivering complex reporting and analysis. Ability to adjust total rewards strategy and programs as appropriate.
