Bradley Professional, A Division of The Bradley Group, is currently seeking an Operations Manager for their client, an HVAC Mechanical Contractor located in Greensboro, NCThis is a DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT POSITION!Ideal candidate will be responsible for the operations of the service department to include increasing efficiency and maintaining customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Include:

  • Safety- Responsible for ensuring that each member of their department is current and up to date with all required safety training and protocols, and that they have the proper PPE to perform their job safely.
  • Timesheet and paperwork review- Provide the billing department with timesheets and WO reports that are accurate and verify that time has been applied to the appropriate WO's and or job numbers.
  • Vehicle tracking - Track mileage and budget for replacements. Prepare for year over year replacement of vehicles.
  • Uniform negotiations and ordering - Explore all uniform options and negotiate pricing. Responsible for the team's appearance.
  • Technician review, praise and discipline- Review, praise and discipline as necessary to ensure your team's success.
  • Technical support- Assist as technical support when needed.
  • Timely execution of PM agreements - This includes tracking of backlog PM hours and reporting to the Service Division Manager updated scheduling and assigned techs to the backlog PM hours.
  • Billing audits and edits- Responsible for reviewing preview invoices provided by the billing department.
  • Scheduling of technicians- Schedule the workload on a weekly basis to ensure that high priority estimates and PM agreements get taken care of in an effective and timely manner.
  • Overall P&L responsibility
  • Review of service quotes
  • Training needs and budgeting- Will provide on an annual basis a training program and cost associated with said training.
  • Customer complaints and billing issues- Required to work with the account managers on any Customer complaints or billing issues, to resolve problems quickly and effectively and provide documentation to the resolve of the complaint.
  • Recruiting and hiring of service talent- Research avenues of recruitment for new service talent and be directly involved in the hiring process.
  • Forecasting and business planning- Should pro-actively monitor business needs to include future costs associated with tools, programs, and electronic device needs.
    • Qualifications
    • Prefer at least 5 years of proven leadership experience within an HVAC Service Department/Division
    • Ability to think long term and create initiatives to achieve overall goals
    • Efficient with MS Office and familiarity with industry related business software
    • Must have outstanding communication skills to include written communication
    • Experience as commercial/industrial service technician a plus
