The RoleAs the Budget Analyst, you will analyze expenses, budget, and forecast for projects and deliver on more complex assignments for assigned area(s) of responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, special initiatives support, budget guidance and communication of financial data to key stakeholders. You will also act as a resource to the finance team and applicable internal/external stakeholders and leaders.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison for employee centered operations annual planning process
  • Acts as resource for vendors on resource setup and time allocation and internal finance teams on vendor invoice processing
  • Apply changes and analyze and report on the financial impact of project change request on project level cost benefit analysis
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Compiles and reports on the global impact of cost benefit analysis across the organization
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Coordinates monthly financial reporting and reconciliation activities within finance, IT finance, project leadership and employee centered operations leadership to support a single view of the financials
  • Creates and maintains documentation around standard operating procedures
  • Determines position of budget to actual expenses and develops financial bridge from previous month to current month FY forecast
  • Ensures project managers and project leads are accurately documenting the impact of changes on a cost benefit analysis.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identify and analyze financial variance drivers budget to forecast and builds detail line analysis for variances current month, YTD, and FY forecast
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Maintains repository of contractor SOWs and cost benefits analysis
  • Monitors cost center activity against budget & forecast (accruals, expenses, etc)
  • Provides periodic and ad-hoc reporting to team members, leaders and stakeholders
  • Provides support for annual and quarterly planning
  • Receives and process invoices via Ariba and Wire Transfers and reconciles invoices against project budgets
  • Reconciliations and balancing of internal/external resource capacity & demand data
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.Additional Position Responsibilities

  • Remains current in profession and industry trends.Education
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum RequiredExperience
  • 3 - 5+ Years experience in accounting/finance directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role (Required )Other Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
