Reports to: Research Director Location: Raleigh, NC Salary:
$7,500/month Description: Cooper for North Carolina (CFNC) is
looking to hire a full-time Research Manager to join our growing
Research team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Research
Manager will report to the Research Director and help lead research
projects of the Research department. They will play a critical role
in developing junior research staff skillsets. The ideal candidate
is detail-oriented, hard-working, and a team-player. Qualifications
At least 1 cycle of political opposition research required.
Campaign or political committee research experience preferred
Experience with research bullet writing Experience using
LexisNexis, court records retrieval, campaign finance analysis,
analyzing primary source documents, and commonly used research
databases Experience with public records requests Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills Exceptional critical
thinking skills Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
Experience utilizing other research resources preferred Experience
with project planning and/or managing staff a plus Responsibilities
Collaborate with and support the Research Director to develop and
execute short- and long-term research projects for the campaign
Help manage the research department, including training and
supervising junior researchers, and contribute to editing of
research products Manage the campaign vetting program Conduct and
oversee the campaign records program for self and opposition
research, including public records requests and facilitation of
on-location research Write research backups for paid media, survey
research materials, and rapid response components as necessary All
other duties as assigned Compensation & Hours Salary: $7,500 per
month Healthcare premium covered by campaign. Hours: Full-time
position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of
the campaign and point in the cycle and is likely to require
evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle. You
will be contacted by the campaign via email if chosen for an
