Our Waverly Place shop in Cary is looking for friendly and enthusiastic ice cream scoopers to join our team.
Description
Two Roosters Ice Cream is a handmade ice cream company based in the Triangle, committed to quality and community. We are seeking inquisitive, customer-focused individuals to scoop ice cream and provide excellent service during the summer and beyond. Our team members are the face of our brand, and we value taking care of each other to ensure our guests have a memorable experience.
All team members must be willing to work up to 8 Durham Bulls games during the season, scheduled individually. Some staff may work more than 8 games, depending on their interest and availability.
Responsibilities

• Greet and thank every customer with a smile.
  
• Offer samples, menu suggestions, and toppings.
  
• Scoop ice cream and mix shakes carefully.
  
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked.
  
• Operate the cash register following proper procedures.
  
• Wash tubs and dishes during shifts.
  
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, respecting health and sanitation guidelines.
  
• Keep store displays and shelves stocked with ice cream, cones, and merchandise.
  
  Qualifications
  
  
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
  
• A passion for ice cream and a commitment to quality.
  
• Minimum age of 16 for late-night shifts.
  
• Availability from April to October: 15+ hours/week, minimal planned absences, and at least two weekend shifts per month.
  
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
  
• Access to a phone capable of texting and calling.
  
• Reliable internet and transportation.
  
• Willingness to work at other shop locations and up to 8 Durham Bulls games.
  
  Compensation and Benefits
  Starting wage of $15/hour after a 30-day probationary period, including tips. Opportunities for merit-based raises. 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions after 1,000 hours worked.
