Job Description:
Overview The Compliance Specialist acts in a supportive role for
the Compliance Services department by assisting with internal
monitoring and compliance work plan activities, at the direction of
the Compliance Program Managers, Compliance Directors, and the
Executive Director of Compliance Services. This position supports
training and education activities, policies and procedures,
investigations, conflicts of interest and physician payments review
for both the facility and medical group compliance programs.
Responsibilities Compliance Program Support Administer day-to-day
operation of the Cone Health HelpLine and case management database,
including conducting appropriate follow-up activities in
consultation with the Manager of Compliance, Director and Executive
Director.Provide support for compliance committees, including the
review and update of agenda items, charters, schedules and
communication schedules, and the development of materials and
presentations.Provide administrative support of third-party
reviewers and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to
resolve issues.Co-develop and track and maintain compliance
dashboard(s) and provide periodic reporting.Collaborate
cross-functionally across the organization to support the
implementation of policies, systems and programs that drive
organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and
standards.Conduct the routine sanction screening for all Cone
Health employees, vendors, medical staff members and
volunteers.Physician Payment Reviews Assist with the review and
assessment of submissions for payment for contracted physicians and
medical practices to ensure compliance with the organization?s
policies and procedures, and associated regulations.Conflicts of
Interest.Support the collection of conflicts of interest bine all
information with CMS Open Payments Information.Support the creation
and distribution of conflicts of interest management
plans.Regulation Research and TrackingSupport the on-going
management of tracking regulation changes and enforcement
trends.Research regulations and policies to support responses to
guidance inquiries from stakeholders. Qualifications
EDUCATION:Required: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject area
Preferred: Master's Degree in in a relevant subject area such as
business. EXPERIENCE:Required: Minimum 1 year of experience working
in a healthcare or compliance setting Preferred: Has experience
working in healthcare compliance.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Preferred: CHC, CCPC,
CHRC
