Buffing Technician
POSITION DUTIES:
The Buffing Technicians remove rubber and fabric from worn tires while operating a buffing machine. These roles are a critical component in the preparation of the casing to be retreaded on the tires.
We offer 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities, overtime available!
Shifts:
2nd-Monday-Friday 3:30AM-12:00AM (+$1.00 differential)
3rd-Monday-Friday 12:00AM-8:00AM (+$1.50 differential)

• Must be available to work OT
  Pay: $14 to start- $1 raise after training !
  
  • Comply with company procedures Process Specification 3151 FAA approved Repair Station
  • Remove old rubber and fabric leaving only required under tread ensuring no contamination of any kind is present on the casing and good quality on the surface processed.
  • Inspect machine to ensure machines are safe and blades are acceptable
  • Deliver a clean product on a T-Wagon to the after-buff inspector
  • Ensure quality of work before passing along to next department
  • Physically handle and move all types of tires from point A to point B safely.
  • Maintains safe environment and a clean and orderly workplace per 3S standards.
  • Responsible for performing regular quality checks as per SOP.
  • Identify and resolve minor mechanical and quality problems.
    Requirements:
    
    • Must pass a required pre-employment screening and physical
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 1-3 months+ related experience or training
    • Ability to lift to 50lbs safely
    • Basic math skills
