Job Description:

This is a Warranty Specialist II position with Weil-McLain, which is a division of The Marley-Wylain Company.

Job Summary
The Warranty Specialist will support the planning, development, implementation, and continual improvement of the warranty call center/department and process. The warranty specialist will gather required warranty data needed to process warranty claims in accordance with Weil-McLain (WM) and Williamson-Thermoflo (WT) policies and procedures, while also being able to provide Pre-Install and Post-Install troubleshooting.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Answering calls from customers and gathering needed data to process warranty claims.
Provides troubleshooting assistance to above noted parties in summary for problems involving control system, combustion, venting and piping on commercial and residential boilers.
Provides technical support to engineers, sales representatives, distributors, contractors, end-users and internal departments via phone, letter, video conference, chat, e-mail, or in person.
Escalate warranty trends and issues to the warranty manager.
Assist warranty manager and analyst with needed tasks to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
Work required shifts as needed in order to cover warranty call center operation hours.
Others duties as assigned by warranty manager.

Education And Experience
Base education required is high school graduate or equivalent with previous experience.
Customer Service and call center experience
Knowledge of boilers, related products, controls and control wiring and systems is preferred.
Preferred experience in Hydronics, HVAC or other technical/mechanical knowledge
Preferred experience in the warranty related discipline
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and product quality
Knowledge and understanding of statistical analytical tools
Knowledge and understanding of auditing processes

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have strong phone, listening, communication, customer service, data collection, problem solving and analytical skills.
Training or experience with use of CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.com
Must be able to remain calm under pressure, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Must have strong attention to detail, follow up, and planning skills.
Must be able to work as a team promoting others before themselves and foster a positive and result oriented environment.
Must have strong knowledge of computers and use of software such as Microsoft Office.
Must be able to make decisions per business policies and procedures.
Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrates strong communications skills, written and verbal.

PHYSICAL DEMAND
Extended computer and phone usage.
Periodically requires extended work hours and working different shifts
May require travel including overnight stay
Requires occasionally working in a production environment and standing for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT
General office environment with occasional shop floor involvement in foundry, machine shop, and assembly requiring hearing, foot, and head protection.
