IT Project Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Strong experience successfully managing small to medium sized technical / IT Projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or related experience.
  • Strong experience or background with network equipment, including hardware installation and configuration, cellular back up and redundancy testing, managed firewall and switch configuration, wireless networks, and device connectivity. A practical or working knowledge of infrastructure and networking equipment is required in order to be successful in this role however, all installation, testing, and Tier II/Tier III troubleshooting will be performed by a 3rd party vendor.
  • Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software functionality, Tier I or first level triage for system support. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
  • Strong communication skills, both written verbal and with presenting to large groups, program teams, and/or executive leadership.
  • Will require some light travel (10-15%) to construction site during the installation and testing phases. Infrequent overnight travel possible.
  • Preferred experience with coordinating projects with vendorsKEY JOB FUNCTIONS (40%) -
    • Oversee the coordination of multiple vendors that provide services from construction to grand opening for each new site.
    • Work with a Program Manager, General Contractor, and various vendors to ensure that our equipment list is complete and accurate according to our site build plans.
    • Oversee the delivery of equipment, system staging and unit testing prior to site installation.
    • Once the site is ready for installation, manage the stress testing and user acceptance test during the final stages of the process.
    • Provide onsite technical support for all systems during key testing phases including the grand opening and during the first week of operation.(30)% -
      • Responsible for ensuring that each system is installed correctly and fully tested prior to turnover to our Operations Team.
      • Primary point of contact during each testing phase (excluding staging & bench testing done by another 3rd party) for any and all technical issues.
      • Responsible for prioritizing and resolving technical issues that arise during initial unit testing, functional and stress testing, and final user acceptance testing. (20%) -
        • Responsbile for requesting bids from all suppliers and vendors involved in the construction and completion of our new sites through our bidding software tool. Ensure all vendors submit their bids in a timely manner and will thoroughly review and accept the bids according to the site plan and budget.
        • Responsible for project closure with all invoices submitted from vendors, including reviewing, coding, and submitting to accounting for remittance in a timely manner.(10%) -
          • May also have special projects assigned from time to time.Decisions made by you:
            • Documentation of the new site opening process and any enhancements to streamline or simplify the process.
            • Creating the most effective bidding process regarding vendor selection and equipment orders.
