Job Description:

Responsible for designing all product lines for designated brand(s). Responsibilities include researching competitor brands and related products, developing product specifications, and researching fashion color trends on a seasonal basis.

• Ability to design brand appropriate product that meets consumer and financial expectations, including sketches, technical drawings, spec sheets, and BOM’s.
• Proficient understanding of garment fit and construction with ability to provide clear direction of fit aesthetic and design details/construction to the technical team.
• Manage multiple projects and development calendars while adhering to key design milestones.
• Research and shop the apparel market with the ability to successfully identify and interpret key trends/fashions that are relevant to lifestyle and performance consumer.
• Demonstrated creative ability interpreting concept into protypes.
• Design, prepare and present trend, color, and style boards to senior management and outside accounts.
• Responsible for creating tech packs, color briefs and seasonal line sheets.
• Ensure the construction and materials function and enhance the wearer’s experience.
• Provide new product research and development projects as requested.
• Research and select raw materials and trims based on their functional properties, aesthetics and costs while in support of the design.

• BA/BS Degree required or AA Fashion Degree with 9 years of equivalent experience
• Functional expertise in technical fit and construction
• Functional knowledge of both knit and woven fabrications
• General knowledge of lifestyle and performance apparel across men’s, women’s and kids
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across all management levels
• Ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced team environment
• Demonstrated design and creative ability
• Self-motivated with ability to learn and take direction
• Sketch freehand and technical
• Superior computer skills-Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, PLM, and Microsoft Office (Mac and PC)
