Office Manager/ Accountant needed! Please read the job description in it''s entirety before applying, thanks! Growing company seeking a Office Manager with finance accounting experience with Construction Industry background. You''ll train in the office but ultimately work from home! Started in 2010, we are a privately held business specializing in commercial solar installation, commercial and industrial LED lighting solutions, solar farm development and Electric Vehicle Charging infrastructure. Recognized by the Triad Business Journal as a ''Fast 50'' company the last 2 years, in 2020 we came in as the 4th fastest growing company in the Triad. We typically have 8-10 employees on payroll and another 10-20 that we regularly employ through subcontractors, depending on the active jobs. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent Staff Accountant to help us keep tabs on our financial compliance as we navigate our growth. In addition to our company, the owner has recently started a small residential construction company 2019. We will want the individual to be able to help with some limited needs of this business as well.
Responsibilities: Quarterly reconciliation in QuickBooks (pulling in credit card and bank statements) Quarterly Sales Tax Filings Run Bi-weekly Payroll (syncing with Clockshark timekeeping app for proper job costing) Manage Accounts Payable Help with HR - onboarding compliance, etc.
Help with Insurance - Annual Audits, Renewals, etc.
Help manage Subcontractor compliance - ensure timely receipt of COI''s, W9, Master sub agreements, etc.
Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; ensure team members adhere to such policies and procedures.
Monitor accuracy of Company job cost accounting thereby providing accurate gross margin reporting leading to opportunities to improve such margins or provide better bids on RFPs.
Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Work in conjunction with other accounting personnel and team members to ensure integrity of all financial activities and documentation.
Work with VP to plan, direct, oversee, research, and implement all accounting and financial related functions for the organization. Include collections, disbursements, analysis, and ensure the accuracy of all financial data.
Improve internal procedures to ensure alignment with needs of a growing business.
Requirements : Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years Accountant experience in Construction Industry necessary Thorough understanding and use of QuickBooks software (QuickBooks Desktop Premier Plus Contractor & QuickBooks Online) Advanced in Excel Able to communicate effectively with senior management.
