We distribute both wholesale and retail, repair/replacement parts, accessories, maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment for major Appliances, Refrigeration, Residential, Light Commercial, Heating, and Air Conditioning brands. As a customer, employee, or member of our community - YOU, are the best part of D&L!But enough about us, here is what you would be doing if you join our team!SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant/Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective assistance to D&L customers, Branch Manager and team by answering phones, directing calls, assisting with taking, entering, and pulling orders; as well as other administrative branch tasks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:Answers and routes all incoming callsPolitely and diplomatically handles all callers/calls, prioritizing calls and managing them in such a way as to ensure excellent customer service on behalf of D&L and the Branch teamProvides customer service as required to counter, internet and telephone customersProcesses orders and inquiries as required to meet/exceed sales, margins and profitability quota, up-selling and cross-selling to customersHandles and processes warranty claims, paperwork, associated computer data entry, customer complaints and problems effectively and timelyMaintains monitors and restocks merchandiseResearch and resolves customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and retentionResponsible for cleanliness and organization of workspace and BranchParticipates in physical inventories to verify stock and identifying lossesOperates within Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with D&L Company Policies and Handbook, including IT policiesOther duties and responsibilities as necessary for the business or as requested by ManagementCOMPETENCIES:Ability to handle multiple calls/customersEffective communicator (both Written & Oral)Ability to multitask and work under pressureQuick learner / Able to resolve problemsWorks well with others (team player)Accuracy/Attention to detailExcellent follow through (with customers & workforce)Results orientedworks well with limited supervisionDependability/Reliability/Trustworthy. Requirements:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. Wholesale/retail sales experience preferred. Stable, solid work history.SKILLS and ABILITIES: Prior experience and proficiency as an administrative assistant / Customer Service. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, vendors, managers, and coworkers. Ability to read and comprehend simple to moderately difficult instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; i.e., calculate change due to customers without a calculator. Must be able to operate basic office equipment such as a calculator, fax machine, copier, Computer/Internet proficiency ie. MS Office.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk and/or sit at a desk using computer/monitor to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The employee must be able to assist other team members in lifting equipment, parts and supplies up to 50 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate noise; often exposed to fluctuating weather conditions and temperatures (extreme cold/heat)STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week, between the hours from 8:00 to 5:00 Mon-Fri with occasional time after 5:00 pm.
