Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve our customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between.

As a seasoned leader, you'll be a subject matter expert in production planning and material requirements tools, sharing your knowledge with others in the organization. We'll rely on you to develop detailed schedules, production plans and capacity plans along with complex bills of material for large programs. The Advanced Manufacturing Planner will review work authorization documents and generate material program plans and coordinate kick-off meetings with functional departments to communicate program goals and objectives.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

Represents the production and material planning function to support achievement of manufacturing build schedules/deliveries

Compiles and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules

Utilizes MRP system and planning techniques to depict material and resource capacity constraints

Creates, releases, tracks, and statuses shop manufacturing work orders

Identifies and resolves manufacturing work-in-process material issues

Communicates daily with engineers, project managers, supervisors, planning colleagues, and shop associates to ensure execution of production plans

Interfaces daily with supply chain personnel to identify and resolve material availability issues

Prepares various reports and presentations to status production progress and material issues

Supports and communicates information/status at various manufacturing and project meetings

May coordinate the development of material proposals

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Very solid understanding of the material planning tools

May require understanding of earned value management and/or product costing as job requires

Ability to manipulate data in the material planning tools

Very solid understanding of bill of material concepts and methodologies

Very solid understanding of the proposal process for both material and labor estimating

Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office tools; especially Excel Pivot, Vlookup, and formatting tools

Grasps and applies new information quickly

Ability to handle complex assignments

Ability to effectively represent functional area on program teams

Excellent communication and relational skills with a variety of cross-functional personnel

PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:

Manufacturing planning experience preferred

APICs certification preferred

Experience with MRP systems such as PRO-III and IFS preferred
