With more than 50 million Luxfer cylinders in service we pride ourselves on exemplary record for dependable service and safety.As part the Production team, Machine Operators will be trained to safely operate various machines involved in the manufacture of high-pressure gas cylinders. Extensive training is offered. Multiple positions on 2nd and 3rd shifts.Primary Responsibilities* Operate and set-up machines involved in the manufacture of gas cylinders as assigned. * Follow all safety rules* Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to produce high quality parts that meet customer specifications* Correctly record and report data * Move material, manufactured products, waste materials, scrap, etc. using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment to assigned areas* Achieve production goals * Routine and periodic inspection and minor maintenance of machinery and/or equipment* Routine minor quality inspectionsEducation And/or Experience* High school diploma or equivalent required* 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred* Previous experience reading measuring tools including calipers, pie tape, and ruler. * Ability to use shop mathematics, read blueprints, read and understand charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments (calculators, pie tape, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, tensiometer.)* Computer literacy also required* Rotating Shifts flexibility Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
