*Research & Development--Chemist/Scientist (Pharmaceutical) - Greensboro, North Carolina--* We have an exciting opportunity for an *R&D Scientist/Chemist* to work with one of our top clients in Greensboro, North Carolina whose company is focus in the pharmaceutical field! This is a direct hire position with relocation assistant available! *Summary:* The R&D Scientist/Chemist will independently: perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate, and final products utilizing expertise in USP compendial and general analytical testing; perform data entry; review, approve and participate is OOS investigations. Maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments/lab problems. Ensure compliance with applicable Company SOPs and regulatory guidance's. Must, with minimal supervision, conduct methods validation and methods development. Lead larger scope projects. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, intermediate, and final products. * Review and approve data; maintain notebook. * Focus efforts on analytical support to production operations (if reporting to Associate Director, Quality Control). * Maintain equipment * Conduct analytical methods development, validation, and transfers. * Write Aps, SOPs, and similar documents. * Lead laboratory investigations. * Lead larger-scope projects. * Train and mentor laboratory colleagues. * Coordinate/submit invoice information for billing; track and manage scope changes/change order quotes. *Minimum Requirements:--* * BS, MS or PhD degree in Chemistry (or closely related discipline). * A minimum of at least 6 years (PhD), 8 years (MS), or 10 years (BS) of strongly relevant background in the Pharmaceutical Laboratory Environment * Must have experience with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FTIR, Titrations, NMR, TLC, XRPD and Laser diffraction particle size * Strong Analytical Chemistry and methods development and validation skills and insight. * Proven ability to efficiently develop valid methods. * Proven ability to optimize existing methods, foresee issues inherent in routine/on-going use of validated methods, and a solid understanding of experimental design. * Expertise in USP compendial and other technical application testing and in OOS investigations. * Data review/validation expertise in a compliance-oriented laboratory. * Demonstrated ability and experience in advanced method/instrument troubleshooting and laboratory problem resolution. * Able to function as technical expert/consultant. *QUESTIONS?
