CMV (Non-CDL) Driver Nonexempt Reports To: Branch Manager ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Unload inventory from incomingvehicles. Inspect inventoryfor damage. Process and stock inventory. Pickcorrectproduct and quantities for ordersand/or transfers. Load racks and trucks with glass. Clean glass, assessing stock for damage. Affix proper labels to glass. Timely follow deliveryroutesand time schedules to deliverproductand receive returns. Process/record payments and input data intoorderingsystem. Safelyoperatethe delivery vehicle, up to26,000poundsofGMVW. Receive and process return stock. Complete logs and documentation. Break down boxes,stock accessories,organizeinventory as directed. Interact andassistcustomers during delivery and at will call. Assistinmaintainingappearanceofbranchas needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc. Perform other job tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Compliance with all applicable state and federal requirements for commercial motor vehicle drivers of applicable gross motor vehicle weight rating, including but not limited to holding valid DOT medical card Pass an MVR check Safely and competentlyoperateforklifts, reach trucks, pickers Have 3-5 years ofdriving and delivery experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Be organized,detail orientated,accurate, and adaptable to warehouse environments Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, and or take direction in an ever-changing working condition EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid driver’s licenserequired CMVDOT Medical Cardrequired 2 years driving or equivalent experience POSITION SUMMARY: The CMV (Non-CDL) Driver provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders while operating vehicles with gross motor weight ratings between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds. The CMV (Non-CDL) Driver performs general delivery driver, warehouse duties, and customer assistance as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.
