Position Description: CGI Federal is looking for a Sr. Storage
Administrator to help support a program we are working on for the
Army's PL ALTESS contract. PL ALTESS, or Product Lead for
Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and
Services, is a key U.S. Army organization providing IT services and
support to the Army and Department of Defense. As a managed service
provider, ALTESS delivers infrastructure, platform, and application
services across data centers and commercial clouds. It plays a
crucial role in modernizing IT systems by migrating them to the
cloud and managing mission-critical applications to ensure Army
readiness. ALTESS oversees IT service delivery across various
hosting locations, aligning with Department of Defense digital
transformation strategies as part of PEO Enterprise. This position
is located in Radford, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities:
This position is for a Senior Storage Administrator for a mixed and
growing environment of various storage HW. This position will work
with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy,
troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for ALTESS
and its customers. This position will assist with implementing new
system HW and SW and provide input for developing local operating
procedures and policies as needed. This position will need to be
adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the systems and
providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify
problems and corrective actions as needed. This position will also
need to be able to recommend, demonstrate, and implement
technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to
the current environment. Required qualifications to be successful
in this role: a) CompTIA Security. b) Computing Environment (CE)
Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) – can
be waived for 30 days after project join date. c) Active DoD Secret

Experience in Computer Science or IT. e) Three or more years'
experience in design, installation, configuration, security, and
maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems. f)
Three or more years' experience maintain storage and network
policies and standards. g) Three or more years' experience
refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of
the application development staff. h) Three or more years'
experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating
Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common
problem resolution. i) Three or more years' experience with
MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments. j) Three or
more years' experience administering applicable storage networks.
k) Three or more years' experience with VMWare 7.x or greater. l)
Three or more years' experience with network communication (IP
based). m) Installation and configuration experience of backup SW
with Windows Server 2019, Solaris 11, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and
higher. n) Experience with both Windows Powershell and Bash shell
scripting. o) Strong CLI skills. p) Strong interpersonal skills and
willing to be a team player. Desired qualifications/non-essential
skills required: a) Bachelor's degree in computer science or
equivalent years of experience. b) Three or more years' experience
supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical
Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber
Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA). CGI is required by law in
some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the
compensation range for this role. The determination of this range
includes various factors not limited to skill set, level,
experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To
support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI
typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range
for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts
and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the
current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 -
