Job Description:

A client of Insight Global is looking for a BI Report Developer to join their team in North Carolina. This position primarily works within the enterprise reporting platforms, specifically WebFOCUS, Argos and PowerBI. This position will work closely with data stored in Banner, the Operational Data Store (ODS), Azure Data platforms/services and other enterprise systems. Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution support activities within a complex integrated university-wide distributed reporting system environment. Responsibilities: Development, deployment, maintenance, and support of WebFOCUS, Argos and PowerBI reports and dashboards, including the supporting data pipelines, to meet expressed needs by business unit partners in the Division of Finance & Administration Development, maintenance, support, and migration or decommissioning of reports in legacy platforms Implement effective and efficient processes that help convert raw data into information and insights Leverages data & tools to interpret institutional data, to meet unit objectives Determine the scope and schedule for delivering reporting solutions Work closely with other members of related teams to ensure reports are producing (or supporting the production of) actionable information for stakeholders Proactively monitor risks & issues and create an actionable response planExperience in a higher education setting utilizing Ellucian Banner Software Experience with Tableau Bachelors degree in a related disciplineAbility to design and implement data visualizations that make information accessible and understandable to non-technical people Experience with Ellucian Banner data tables Experience with WebFOCUS, Argos, Microsoft PowerBI or similar reporting platforms Experience analyzing diverse data sets and creating solutions that scale efficiently Experience with effective use of data stored in Oracle and SQL databases
