Job Description:

Long term contract with client in Greensboro NC. Local candidates HIGHLY preferred.Database Administrator ensures the integrity of the databases, manages the databases/ application interfaces and support, and supports data warehousing technologies.Duties and Responsibilities:--- Installation, configuration and management of Oracle 12c - 19c and SQL Server 2012 - 2019.--- First- and second-level technical support of all database issues.--- Configuration and management of database backups using RMAN, T-SQL code, Management Studio, and EMC DDBoost module.--- Configuration and support of SAP application and Teamcenter application databases and infrastructure.--- Configuration and support of Oracle Materialized Views, as well as custom application databases and infrastructure.--- Support service desk, developers, and users with database issues.--- Support data design and architecture for custom applications.--- Configuration and support of Oracle OEM, custom T-SQL code for database monitoring and database client software as necessary.--- Manage database access consistent with security policies and procedures.--- Prepare and maintain documentation.--- Ensure database instances are properly backed up and available for restore.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:--- Oracle and SQL database administration--- RHEL 7.x and 8.x--- Experience with SAPDB, DB2, and MySQL--- Oracle Data Guard--- Strong communication and customer service skills
