medi USA, L.P/medi Manufacturing Inc. is the market leader in compression medical devices and is looking for an exceptional candidate to be our Human Resource Specialist . This position will be responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. The areas of focus will be payroll administration, benefits administration, recruitment, employment law compliance, employee relations, and on-boarding. The right candidate must be prepared to succeed in a team-oriented environment!

medi USA is conveniently located in Whitsett, NC nestled between Greensboro and Burlington near I40/I85. Our facility has over 200 employees including production, distribution, sales, and office staff. We also have over 60 offsite sales employees located throughout the USA.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be passionate about all areas of Human Resources. This position will support the HR Director/HR department and collaborate with management and the employees.

Essential Dutie s and Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel, communications, and policy administration.
Administer company bi-weekly payroll in accordance with payroll schedule and maintain payroll system and handles payroll tax related issues as needed.
Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
Perform benefit administration to include fielding employee questions, benefits orientation for new employees, benefit related problem resolution, status changes, communicating benefit information to employees and distributing required notices.
Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HRIS database and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
Works in conjunction with Senior HR Management to coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment for the company.
Maintains personnel files for employees in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal law.
Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, and all other employee-relations matters.
Works with Senior HR Management on both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits.
Completes administrative functions in a timely manner with accuracy.
Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
Manages HRIS system.
Other duties as assigned.
Handle confidential matters with discretion.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics.
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures, policies, and state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws.
Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Must be able to handle confidential matters and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years in Human Resource.
Additional HR training or experience is a plus.
