A Payroll Manager job in Greensboro, NC is available with Graham Personnel Services. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity. The Payroll Manager m onitors the work of the payroll/HR operations staff and ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and other related activities. Some of the Requirements/Qualifications of the Payroll Manager include: Associates degree, or relevant experience with payroll. Prefer FPC or CPP Certification 5+ years of payroll experience required 3+ years of management experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work with employees at all levels within the company as well as maintain positive working relationships with outside vendors and third-party administrators Strong organizational skills and independent work habits Must be extremely accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines Excellent computer and administrative skills. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Excel and Word Familiarity with UKG Pro (UltiPro/Kronos) is preferred Familiarity with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); state wage-hour laws; state and federal taxes; Benefit plans (health, cafeteria, 401k, and disability) Job Requirements:Some of the Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager include: Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the Company's US payrolls, as well as the timely and accurate reconciliation of the Company's payroll related taxes, GL reporting, garnishment administration and other items related to payroll processing and reporting Oversee payroll/HR operations staff's daily activities, provide direction and feedback, monitor and re-evaluate and adjust workload distribution as necessary Maintain proper oversight and develop controls for pay adjustments Responsible for overseeing payroll tax compliance including current and upcoming regulations Serve as company's payroll contact for all audit inquiries Evaluate direct reports and provide periodic feedback on their development plans Evaluate system changes to maintain compliance with all agencies and applicable regulations Accountable for ongoing management of effective relationships with other internal departments and external vendors Manage many changing priorities while meeting mandatory deadlines Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes Facilitate weekly team meetings Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work efforts Approve and release manual off-cycle check payments Assist with general HR duties upon request
