Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years OR RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Providing critical support in the Operating Room,
this role involves assisting surgeons as the lead RN First
Assistant throughout operative procedures, ensuring patient safety
and efficient surgical outcomes. The position operates under the
direction of the Nurse Manager and adheres to established
organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities also include occasional circulating duties during
surgeries. Key Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of
Nursing Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) Completion of an RN First Assisting course aligned
with the AORN Core Curriculum Minimum of five years diversified
peri-operative nursing experience with proficiency in both
scrubbing and circulating roles Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red
Cross Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week On-call responsibility
two days weekly from 5:00 PM (or post-shift) to 7:00 PM One 24-hour
weekend on-call shift every three weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
