Physician Assistant | Urgent Care Location: Danville, VA Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a dedicated Locums Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy urgent care clinic in Danville, VA. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment that also includes occupational health services. The ideal candidate is comfortable treating a wide range of acute conditions and workplace-related injuries. Schedule Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Flexible scheduling options may be available Practice Setting Urgent care clinic with a focus on episodic care and occupational health services Collaborative clinical environment with support staff Efficient workflow designed to support quality patient care Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries Provide care for workplace-related injuries and occupational health cases Perform procedures such as wound care, suturing, and splinting Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system Procedures Episodic care Injury treatment and management Basic urgent care procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care) Requirements Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active Virginia license BLS certification DEA registration Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or occupational health preferred EMR System Anthem Danville offers a blend of small-town charm and outdoor recreation along the scenic Dan River.
