Job Description:

a Nurse Extern in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a PRN
(as-needed) basis. This role is critical in assisting nurses and
healthcare staff in managing recovery protocols and delivering
exceptional care to patients post-surgery. This position is
designed for nursing students who are seeking real-world experience
in a fast-paced clinical environment, offering a unique opportunity
to enhance skills and knowledge in PACU procedures. Support the
nursing staff in the PACU by checking vital signs, administering
medications, and monitoring patient recovery. Assist with preparing
patients for discharge and educate them and their families on
post-operative care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure
the confidentiality of all healthcare data. Operate and check
medical equipment for proper functioning. Participate in all
safety, emergency, and infection control protocols. Basic
understanding of post-operative care protocols. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed
instructions and maintain rigorous safety standards. Proficiency in
handling medical equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance

Certification required upon hire. Active enrollment in a nursing
