Physician Assistant | Urgent Care Location: Rockingham, NC Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Become a vital part of our urgent care team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will treat a diverse patient population, from pediatric to adult, managing acute cases and performing minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations. Your expertise will help community members receive timely, compassionate healthcare, making a meaningful impact every day. We are seeking motivated, experienced clinicians who excel in high-volume settings and possess strong soft skills to foster supportive patient and staff interactions. You must be comfortable working independently as the sole provider in a center, demonstrating proficiency in Epic EMR and ensuring compliance with all credentialing and certification requirements. Required Skills: Minimum of 12 months of experience in urgent care or emergency settings Current board certification (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, appropriate NP certification) Valid BLS and DEA licenses Proficiency with Epic EMR system Ability to see and treat pediatric (6 months and older) and adult patients Strong interpersonal skills for one-on-one patient and staff interactions Capable of handling high patient volumes confidently and efficiently Nice to Have Skills: Experience with minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations Prior exposure to high-volume urgent care environments Bilingual abilities or multilingual skills Familiarity with off-site supervision or collaborative practice models Preferred Education and Experience: Graduate-level degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program Certification through NCCPA or relevant NP boards At least 1 year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience, preferably in a similar setting Other Requirements: Must pass a clinical screening and participate in EMR and onboarding training scheduled on set Wednesdays Ability to support multiple centers within a 60-mile radius from your residence Availability to provide all credentialing documentation before scheduling shifts Willingness to work in multiple locations as needed No travel reimbursement, limited to mileage support This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated clinicians to join a supportive team and make a real difference in community health.
