Heritage- 3000 Rogers Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587 Job Summary: We are
seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II at Duke Health Heritage Cardiology ,
located in Wake Forest, NC to be an integral member of the
healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.
JOB DUTIES: Perform patient intake including: obtaining vital
signs, administering survey tools, conducting educational
assessments (patients/guardians), assisting patients with
ambulation/toileting, reviewing patient medications. Completing
procedural tasks including: administering vaccinations and
medications according to protocols and provider orders, specimen
collection and correct labeling, assisting with clinic-performed
procedures (including EKGs, 6- minute walks, orthostatic blood
pressures), provide patient/family education, bill for nursing
procedures. Documentation in electronic health record and NCIR.
Once oriented to the role: act as charge nurse on a shift by shift
basis including providing unit leadership, ability to triage
patient phone calls/EHR messages and document appropriately.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described
herein. Job Eligibility Requirements: Work requires graduation from
an accredited Associate‘s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor‘s degree in
Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN
program within two years of their start date but must complete the
BSN program within seven years of their start date. Exception:
Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021
without a Bachelor‘s degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged
to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their
start date but must complete the program within seven years of
their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are
not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job
classification. Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is
required. Cardiology experience is preferred. Must have current or
compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
Job Hours: The schedule for this position is day shifts,
Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Duke is an Equal
