Job Description:
Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a compassionate and
skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join
our dedicated team in supporting students with special needs within
a school setting. Our mission at Epic is to enhance educational
outcomes by providing top-tier therapeutic services tailored to the
individual requirements of each student. As a COTA in our team, you
will work closely with occupational therapists to implement
therapeutic programs and monitor student progress, helping to
foster an environment where all children can succeed academically
and socially. Assist in the development and implementation of
occupational therapy programs for students under the supervision of
an occupational therapist. Help students develop, recover, or
maintain daily living and work skills through therapeutic
interventions. Document student progress and participate in parent
and teacher consultations to discuss student needs and
improvements. Ensure therapy activities are tailored to meet
individual student needs, adhering to IEPs and school policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with
school and health regulations. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers,
parents, and other school staff. Ability to prepare and organize
tools and resources necessary for occupational therapy sessions.
Proficiency in documenting and reporting on therapy sessions and
outcomes. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
(COTA). CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
