Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/17/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC proficiency and strong skills in dysrhythmia management. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in the Emergency Department of an ambulatory campus with adult and pediatric patients - Work schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required - Holiday coverage required as needed - Floating required between all system campuses - Average patient ratio is 1:4 in an 18-bed unit with an average daily census of 75 - Must be proficient in using EPIC EMR - Role includes care for both adult and pediatric emergency patients - Responsibilities include triage, dysrhythmia management, IV starts, and phlebotomy - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Team structure may include both experienced and first-time travel nurses - Strict attendance policy with zero tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences /n /n Requirements/n - Active NC or compact RN license required - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required - Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred - Prior experience in a general emergency department required - Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Phlebotomy, IV initiation, and triage skills required - Must pass an EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed during compliance, no study materials provided by the facility - Previous charge RN experience preferred - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-674090.
