repairs, shoulder repairs and kyphoplasties. Moderate volume
patient populations to include patients who have had neck or back
surgeries. High volume patient populations include other types of
surgical procedures, inpatient and 24-hour observation patients
that are medical patients. Special Procedures/Unit Details : 32 bed
unit that provides care from adulthood through geriatrics to
orthopedic patients, as well as medical surgical patients.
Telemetry monitoring is also available. The department has a
physical therapy gym on the unit that allows the patients to get
adequate physical therapy without having to leave the unit.This
unit does also accommodate ED patients, sometimes with high acuity.
Mon Thursdays the Ortho patients are sent to the perioperative
suites. Special Equipment : CPMs and Buck's Traction occasionally
Neck and back braces Tier2 Travel Compliance Compliance requires a
FULL compliance file by 12 noon EST by the Wednesday prior to start
date. RTO: RTO is due at time of submission. RTO after submission
will not be accepted. Please ensure your traveler does not have any
time off planned that will prevent them from completing pre-start
compliance on time for the proposed start date. Education Education
Verification through a 3 rd party is required. Facility will not
accept any education from one of the schools listed on the Diploma
Fraud Florida Education Audit list. Background Check Facility will
not accept any open cases on the background check. License in hand
required with submission Local Radius: 50 miles. No Locals accepted
EPIC experience REQUIRED All travelers are subject to float to any
Cone Health campus if needed. P/F Testing: All RNs, regardless of
specialty, are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance.
