Schedule Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Surgical Trauma to provide high-quality care for our patient populations. The role focuses on pre-op and post-op care and requires proficiency in using rapid response teams, blood product administration, and peripheral line care and management. Responsibilities - Care for stable trauma patients and manage pre-operative and post-operative care. - Collaborate with healthcare teams, including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy. - Administer medications and manage patient pain levels effectively. - Provide patient education and prepare individuals for surgical procedures. - Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. - Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and critical patient needs. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preference for those who have experience in surgical trauma or related fields. - BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred. - Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory. - Candidates must successfully pass an EKG exam prior to start. - If applicable, candidates should be aware of and able to meet the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
