Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lynchburg, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,101 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting License: Active VA/Compact License required upon start Certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (Expires), BLS Must-Have: Prior travel experience required Description: Replacing a current staff member. Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive appropriate pay differential and training. Work history with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting is required. All gaps in work history over 90 days must be explained. A skills checklist and a copy of the nursing license are needed. All requested time off must be included in the application packet. Approved declinations for Covid/Flu are accepted. Travelers will float first depending on needs. Experience with Cerner is preferred. Required equipment includes vital signs machine, glucometer, SCDs, bladder scanner, vein finder, remote tele capable equipment, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps, and oxygen delivery devices. Patient population includes cardiac intermediate care unit patients. The facility is a teaching hospital, and all team members, including travelers, are expected to contribute to a culture of support when interacting with students and new hires.
