Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 16 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring EPIC experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and strong cardiac telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Work in a Progressive Care Unit with a focus on cardiac telemetry patients - Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am - Weekend and holiday rotation required - Patient ratio is 1:5 in PCU - Floating may be required between campuses as needed - No on-call responsibilities - Uses EPIC EMR system; experience is mandatory - Provide advanced nursing care for complex cardiac and telemetry patients in the Progressive Care Unit - First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment - Must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to strict attendance policies - Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotation - Self-study for preparation of the EKG exam is required, as study materials are not provided - Candidates are expected to float to other units or campuses as needed Requirements - Active RN license in NC or Compact state required - Minimum of 2 years RN experience required - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale - Prior experience in cardiac telemetry care and management of dysrhythmias required - Experience with titrating drips, peripheral line management, and PICC line care required - Must have experience managing PCU patient ratios - Experience with EPIC EMR required - Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-667979.
