Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/17/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring EPIC experience, a NC or compact RN license, and successful completion of an EKG exam. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - Primary patient population includes medical-surgical patients with observation, respiratory, diabetes, palliative, hospice, psychiatric observation, and post-surgical care needs - Night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required - Floating to other units and facilities within the health system required for all travelers - EPIC electronic medical record system is used and experience is mandatory - Responsible for providing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population - Must be prepared for rapid compliance and onboarding with all necessary documents in advance - All RNs must be aware of a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences - Completion of unit-based orientation modules required during orientation - No study materials will be provided for the EKG exam, so advance preparation is recommended - Education must be verified and not from facilities on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list - No open background check cases accepted Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand for consideration - Minimum of 2 years RN experience required - Current BLS certification required - Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding with up to two attempts allowed - Experience with EPIC EMR system required - Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted - Previous charge nurse experience is preferred but not required - First-time travelers are accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-663882.
