Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Blacksburg, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,878 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required. NRP preferred but not required. Must-Have: - Nursing staff must be able to run labs that are ordered. - Procedures performed include applying OCLs, administering breathing treatments, and conducting conscious sedations. Description: General comments related to the emergency department: The unit consists of 11 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. Staffing includes 2 day shift nurses, 2 midshift nurses, and 2 night shift nurses. Type of equipment used includes a POC Lab model, EKG machines, C1 ventilators, Baxter pumps, glucometers, and cardiac monitors. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and 4 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month. Floating policy is not applicable. For patient experience, a standard of 80% or above is expected. The unit operates with specific guidelines and policies in place.
