Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac Telemetry experience required - Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias experience required - Peripheral line care and management experience required - PICC line management experience required - Ability to titrate drips required - Experience with PCU ratios of 1:5 Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in progressive care. The role includes providing care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling. The facility has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. All travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. The nursing staff provides care in a telemetry monitored environment. There is a centralized monitoring department that offers support for patient surveillance. Patient care includes awareness of stroke, renal disorders, and sepsis. Additional duties may involve the management of chest tubes and advanced airway techniques. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in blood product administration and non-invasive airway management. Knowledge and skills in wound care and advanced IV management techniques are necessary. Compliance with all required certifications and competencies is mandatory. All candidates are expected to pass the EKG exam as part of the hiring process.
