Job Description ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Reidsville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg Cardiac Tele/n/n Assignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other or every third weekend coverage is required. Holiday rotation includes working either Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year’s Eve or Day. /n/nJob Description/n The Registered Nurse will provide care to acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients in a telemetry setting. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering IV medications, and responding to emergencies, ensuring high standards of patient care. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Administer IV medication drips such as Heparin and TNA. /n - Conduct telemetry monitoring, both on unit and remotely, and interpret dysrhythmias. /n - Manage patients with a variety of diagnoses including respiratory illness, post-operative care, and cardiovascular conditions. /n - Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. /n - Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. /n - Ensure adherence to safety and isolation precautions. /n - Document all patient interactions and care in the Epic charting system. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS Tele nursing. /n - Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred. /n - Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing acutely ill patients is necessary. /n - Ability to work with a patient ratio of 1:6. /n /n/nLocation/n Position available at a community hospital setting. /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
