Progressive / Post-Surgical Unit Frye Regional Medical Center –
Hickory, NC 28601 Facility: Duke LifePoint | 355-bed hospital | 5th
Floor Neuro Unit Shift: PM (Nights) | 3x12s | 36 hrs/week
guaranteed (Must live 60 miles away for travel pay eligibility) -
Orientation: Twice monthly Unit Information – Neuro Progressive /
Post-Surgical - Beds: 20 - Patient Ratio: 5:1 - EHR: Cerner -
Equipment: Masimo vital signs monitor, Zoll - Population:
Adult/Geriatric - Supervisor: Kim Eckard Position Requirements -
Role: RN – Neuro Stepdown / Post-Surgical - Openings: 2 - Weekend
Requirement: 72 hrs per 6 weeks - Call: None - Float: If needed -
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Experience: Minimum 2 years
(neuro required) - Education: Associate's degree in Nursing
(minimum) Common Diagnoses & Treatments - Stroke, TBI, AMS - Brain
cancer, craniotomy - Spine and neck surgeries Ideal Candidate -
Must-Have Skills: Neuro experience, NIHSS, strong team
collaboration - Preferred: Leadership background - Personality Fit:
Personable, fun, with a good sense of humor Dress Code - Scrub
