Job Description:
The Cardiac Sonographer performs echocardiographic procedures to
assist physicians in diagnosing cardiac conditions.
Obtains diagnostic images using various echocardiographic
techniques, including contrast and stress testing.
Explains procedures to patients, prepares them, reviews medical
records, and ensures proper documentation.
Identifies and resolves technical issues, reports abnormalities
promptly, and maintains equipment and supplies.
Participates in learning new procedures and technologies.
Requires 2-4 years of allied health training, certification as RDCS
or RCS/ACS, and BLS certification.
Must have the skills to perform diagnostic testing on adult
cardiovascular patients and communicate professionally with staff
and patients.
