service the Greensboro Market which includes Wesley Long Hospital
and Moses Cone Hospital. Nursing care is provided to patients
requiring imaging procedures with a focus on patients that
primarily need to receive moderate sedation. These procedures
routinely take place in Interventional Radiology (8 bay suite), Cat
Scan and Ultrasound units. This is a fast-paced procedural area

System. The RN in this position is responsible for providing direct
patient care in the interventional radiology lab, including five
modalities; CT, MRI, US, MI and X-ray as a fully functioning member
of the multidisciplinary team, as well as providing high quality,
cost-effective patient care in all areas of operations, through
assessment, evaluation, and intervention/follow up.
**ANNIE PENN HOSPITAL ONLY (for nurses functioning in the emergency
response nurse role): Will provide early and rapid intervention to
patients within the hospital whose condition is deteriorating with
the purpose of preventing cardiopulmonary arrest. Serves as a
member of the emergency care teams including Code Stroke, Code
STEMI, Code Blue and Code Sepsis teams. Note special requirements
in the licensure/certification and addendum sections below.** Job

Responsibilities
Collects and analyzes patient significant other data. Completes and
documents pre-procedural and ongoing assessment to include
collaboration with patients, significant others and other health
care providers. Implements a plan of care for each patient
(utilizing clinical pathways where applicable) and individualizes
to meet the age specific needs of patients/significant others.
Identifies variances and makes adjustments in the plan of care
based on evaluation of the plan and effectiveness of nursing
interventions. Documents and updates the plan of care, nursing
care, nursing interventions and patient response to care, and keeps
healthcare team, patients and significant other informed.
Contributes to the discharge plan by identifying homecare needs.
Recognizes changes in patients conditions and revises the plan of
care appropriately. Demonstrates advanced competencies and critical
thinking skills in day to day practice. Identifies and implements
educational needs for patients/significant others. Ability to pull
sheaths * applying direct pressure to groin. Hemodynamic
monitoring. Recognizes cardiac rhythms. Monitor/titrates vasoactive
drips and sedative agents and analgesia. Possibility of
circulating, retrieving supplies and scrub duties.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:Required:
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) EXPERIENCE:Minimum one (1)
year of Critical Care, Emergency Dept, PCU, Step Down, ICU, or
Procedural nursing experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Drivers License - Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderACLS -
American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
RN - Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact
state.

Modified Rankin Scale
