Immediate need for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant to join a well established group. Lets DiscussAs a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner you will join a team of highly-skilled professionals that collectively treat patients through medication management, minor procedures including ultrasound-guided joint injections, and implantable pain-relieving devices. You will work in a collaborative environment with other medical professionals to review and discuss medical problems, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic procedures.Job Responsibilities:Orders diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/studies as appropriatePerforms clinical procedures (i.e., trigger points, joint injections)Reviews and interprets diagnostic studies with patient and forms treatment planProvides pre and post-procedure education and counseling for all patients undergoing minor procedures including ultrasound-guided joint injections and implantable pain-relieving devicesCollectively treats patients through medication and refill managementInitiates and monitors medication and treatment in accordance with the current standards of careEvaluates need for immediate care and/or referral to other disciplinesCompletes notes in a timely mannerCompletes patient forms as necessary, including FMLA, disability, etcTakes after-hours call in rotation with other providersCore Competencies:Experience in pain management preferred but not required.ProfessionalismEmpathy and compassionInterpersonal and communication skills (orally and in writing)Team collaborationDependabilityStrong commitment to teamworkTechnical CapacityBenefits:Competitive total compensation package which includes:Base salary commensurate with experienceMedical, dental, and vision benefits, including paid time off and one week CME with allowance401k with employer match and profit-sharingWork-life balance - No weekend hoursProfessional development opportunities
