JOB SUMMARYThis position is accountable to evaluate and treat all patients referred for Occupational Therapyservices, to assist in their return to optimal functional abilities, and to prevent additional disability.This includes communication with physicians and other health care personnel to assist in providingquality patient care. MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIESCompletes patient evaluations, treatments, reassessments and documentation/charging; Independently and accurately selects and performs appropriate evaluation and reassessment techniques; Independently sets appropriate goals; Plans and implements therapy in a manner to achieve patient goals; Autonomously and appropriately modifies session in response to changes in patient status, environment, and discharge plan; Independently recognizes need for and initiates discharge from therapy services and independently recommends and initiates referral to appropriate venue for additional therapy services; Provides effective and thorough patient/family/caregiver education throughout the patient's therapy program; Supports safe, appropriate, effective and efficient patient care by providing accurate, thorough and timely documentation that consistently meets departmental requirements; Charges appropriately for treatment provided; Charges are completed in a timely manner.Position: TherapistSpecialty/Modality: Occupational TherapyLicenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support), State License-Occupational Therapist-North CarolinaPhysical Abilities: From 50-100lbsFor the most prompt response, please APPLY ONLINE.Resumes may also be sent to or call for more information.
