The VP of Product Management is a strategic senior level partner supporting Company-Flint's Leadership. This position leads a team to develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies, product development and product positioning/management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Be the primary facilitator between operations and commercial in multiple facets, including; Pricing both day-to-day (responsible for getting necessary approvals as required) and dynamic pricing for custom products; Coordinate and champion new product development by working with sales and operations to ensure seamless communication and successful introductions of the products into the marketplace; Production planning coordination with sales and supply chain making sure budgets are not static and working with the PM and sales teams to constantly refresh required volumes as additional information becomes available throughout the year; Help create a specification/approval database and work with the commercial team to continue to strengthen our position in that regard; Become part of the IP committee, helping make determinations with R&D and commercial on our intellectual property priorities; Work with the commercial and operations teams to flesh out ideas for new products; Ensure both commercial and operations are not surprised by information ie, be the facilitator so all parties are working with the same set of facts; Monitor and be the repository of competitive information in the marketplace; Manage and set expectations for the entire product management team and marketing team; Become conversant on our financial performance/metrics and effectively convey relevant data to different members of the PM or Marketing teams; Be the primary conduit between Company-Flint and ATSSA and other trade/lobbying industry organizations; Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Bachelor's/Master's Degree, a plus; Five+ (5+) years of Product Management or Product Devlopment experience, required; Experience in outside sales and/or technical services, a plus; Experience with a manufacturing company, required; Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills; Business development experience, a plus; Leadership Ability: Ability to lead, take charge, make decisions as needed and offer ideas, opinions and direction; Ability to collaborate and model effective teamwork; Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members; Ability to take on responsibilities and challenges; Ability to be sensitive to others' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job; Ability to maintain composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations; Ability to carry out complex projects meeting timing and budget requirements; Computer Skills: Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications; Integrity: Job requires high level of honesty and being ethical; Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy and thoroughness in completing work; Ability to keep privileged information confidential; Cooperation: Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, fair attitude; Initiative: Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges with little direction; Ability to develop an understanding of Company-Flint's pricing and product processes throughout North America and global markets; Stress Tolerance: Job requires the ability to accept criticism and the ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations; Ability to change gears fast and often; Adaptability/Flexibility: Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace; Ability to lead change management process positively for the organization;
