For more information visit: and Job Title: Project Manager Department: USConnect Operations Reports To: Director of Program Management FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: Collaborate on the architecture design, contributing to the software and hardware development process improvement, under the guidance from the PM team leader. This role asks for creative thinking, collaboration, and the passion for delivering great software solutions. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesDelegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete themMaking effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the projectServing as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergyCommunicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goalsPerforming quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expectedAdjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project changeWork collaboratively with external development teams on solution development of all aspects of the systemManage the day to day management of projects in coordination with the lead PMOther duties as assigned Supervisory responsibilities: Yes Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in either business or management. Strong preference for candidates with certifications in addition to their education, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute. The American Society for the Advancement of Project Management also offers Project Manager and Senior Project Manager certifications. Language and Oral Communication Skills: Experience troubleshooting problems, finding and implementing solutions. Highly organized with attention to detail. Strong customer service experience and focus. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings and with colleagues. Standards of Performance:Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver high quality work in a timely fashion Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Exceptional personal organizationDemonstrated ability to work self-directed and in a cross functional organization and to manage internal and external resources by influence. Maintain initiative to preserve the flow of work. Proficient computer skills including office suite, remote meeting tools and other PM tools.Proven ability to understand priorities, take ownership and meet deadlines.
