Landfill Division Project Manager

Job Description:

OverviewThe Landfill Project Manager will oversee each project from conception to completion. - The Project Manager will interact with both the customer and field personnel to ensure the project stays on schedule and meets the projected budgetResponsibilities

  • Attend site walks for bid preparation
  • Ability to travel to sights as necessary
  • Assist with bid preparation, project scopes, construction survey, GPS equipment, start up, schedule, permitting and oversight
  • Conduct pre-construction and periodic meetings with customer and site personnel
  • Assist with completing all project paperwork thoroughly and timely
  • Negotiate with vendors and/or subcontractors on pricing
  • Participate in contractual negotiations
  • Review, process and approve change orders
  • Assist with invoicing approval, collections, etc.
  • Assist with ensuring and executing that the project is in compliance with all applicable laws, safety guidelines, regulations, contract requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Assist with ensuring that projects are completed on time and profitability goals for assigned projects are metQualifications
    • 4 year Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
    • 5+ years proven success in managing large civil project work, in particular Landfill Construction
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment
    • Understanding costs and risk management
    • Strong computer skills
