is part of Group Trucks Operations (GTO). We are an organization of

develop, manage and optimize the Service Market supply chain for
all Volvo Group brands and JV's. The scope for Service Market
Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management,
Distribution Center operations, Customs & Trade, as well as the
development of logistics solutions to ensure the highest possible
parts availability, delivery precision and quality everywhere in

Mission/Purpose of the Position
The Cost and Inventory Manager is part of the SML NA Business
Control team and will report directly to the Director of Business
Control.
The Business control team is responsible to secure the financial
reporting is done in an accurate and timely manner. Even more
important, the thorough analysis of the performance is critical to
support the SML NA team to take the proper decisions to achieve the
Volvo Group's strategic objectives.
One of the most interesting reason to join the Business Control
team is that we work cross-functionally with all SML departments,
with all the different Business Areas and supporting four different
Brands - Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment
and Volvo Penta. What we do everyday in SML has a direct impact on
the satisfaction of Volvo Group customers.

The manager's ability to lead and develop direct reports is
critical to the success of this role. Analytical skills to
understand past data and future trends, with a holistic view, is
just the basics. Your role is to use this information and
proactively identify actions to improve performance, communicate
those effectively and drive the changes cross-functionally when
applicable.
In addition to a continuous improvement mindset, the manager may
understand the End-to-End impact of different actions and decisions
to secure satisfaction of our customers.
